On Tenerife's sunny south coast, Playa de las Américas is the Canary Islands' party capital, and the Veronicas Strip is its loud heart - a compact complex of clubs and bars by the beachfront promenade that fills with a young crowd most of the year thanks to the islands' year-round warmth.
The party scene
The Veronicas Strip (the C.C. Veronicas complex) packs the clubs and bars into a few streets by the promenade - Tramps is the biggest. Papagayo and the beach clubs cover the daytime. The Canaries' year-round climate means the season never fully closes.
When to go
Unusually year-round thanks to the Canary climate. Summer and the Christmas/New Year window are busiest, but the strip stays active even in winter when northern Europe is cold.
