Mykonos airport handled 1.07 million passengers in 2024 - vast for a single Cycladic island, and overwhelmingly seasonal. People come for the party: clifftop superclubs, beach clubs that start at lunch, and a Mykonos Town nightlife that runs straight through to the next morning.
The party scene
Cavo Paradiso is the headline clifftop club; Scorpios and the Paradise Beach clubs (Tropicana, Paradise Club) own the daytime; Mykonos Town's labyrinth of bars carries the late night. It's a glossy, expensive scene - closer to Ibiza's premium end than a backpacker strip.
When to go
Pure summer island. The season runs late April to early October, peaking June - September. Outside that, most clubs and beach clubs are closed.

Official CyStat data ranks Ayia Napa the #2 destination in all of Cyprus, taking 15.9% of the country's 4.04 million 2024 arrivals - second only to Paphos. Since the 1990s this little resort has been one of the Mediterranean's loudest, with a central party district built entirely around the clubs.
The party scene
Ayia Napa Square - the central party district - is the throbbing heart: rows of packed venues around one plaza. Castle Club, the biggest superclub in Cyprus (4,000 capacity, five rooms), anchors the late night; the Pamba pool party and the Aqua/Pambos foam nights carry the day.
When to go
Strictly a summer resort: the season runs April - October and peaks July - August. The town largely shutters in winter.

Cancún is Mexico's party capital and one of the world's #1 spring-break destinations - the three-week spring-break peak alone brings 500,000+ visitors. The 15-mile Hotel Zone is a continuous strip of beachfront resorts and mega-clubs engineered for all-you-can-drink nights that run to sunrise.
The party scene
Coco Bongo (acrobatic show-club), Mandala, The City and Dady'O are the Hotel Zone heavyweights, mostly clustered at the Punta Cancún party center. Nearby Playa del Carmen and Tulum offer a more boutique, beach-club alternative on the same coast.
When to go
Spring break (late February - March) is the screaming peak; the dry, warm winter season (Dec - April) is high season generally. Summer is hot and humid; the Sept - Oct window carries hurricane risk.

Stay near Novalja & Zrće Beach

Zrće Beach on the island of Pag is Croatia's number-one party destination - a single pebble beach lined with open-air clubs that becomes a festival site every summer. Thousands of ravers from 80+ nations make the trip for Sonus, Hideout and Fresh Island, then keep going at the beach clubs in between.
The party scene
Three beach clubs - Papaya, Aquarius and Noa - sit right on Zrće with the Adriatic as a backdrop, running day-to-night. The calendar is festival-driven: Hideout, Sonus and Fresh Island each pull an international crowd. Base yourself in nearby Novalja and shuttle to the beach.
When to go
A tight summer window: the beach clubs warm up in June and the big festivals cluster in July and August. Outside high summer, Zrće is quiet.
